From unknown desktop in 1994 to Lenovo T490s in 2021

In 1994-2004 I was luckily the owner of various unknown x86 desktops with some DOS/Windows systems mainly used to run games.

My first laptop was ASUS A3500L with Windows XP in 2005 (now replaced by Antix 21 i686, but almost unused due to relatively poor performance). The laptop was used mainly for university studies. This is the only laptop in my life required replace of the motherboard in the official service due to hardware malfunction in 2006. This laptop is unique in that it has independent media sound system on the front of the keyboard panel.

In 2009 I bought more powerful business-class laptop ASUS X71SL and used it mainly for work. This is the first laptop I have installed Linux on - Mandriva Linux 2009.

In 2011 I got Lenovo G570 for free from my former employer for testing purposes. It has a rare Intel+Radeon hybrid graphics configuration.

In 2013 I bought SONY VAIO for my wife. She use it till today. It still has sufficient performance after upgrade to fast Samsung SSD and Intel Wi-Fi AC.

In 2014 I luckily got feature-rich Dell Latitude E6530 with 70% discount. It's a superior quality and high performance laptop I use till today for hobby projects.

In 2020 I got Lenovo ThinkPad T490s for free from my current employer and now using it for home office.
