Looking for wireless chipset drivers on Debian

I installed Debian on my Surface and have to use an external network interface rather than the internal wi-fi chipset. Anyone know how to get the drivers for it?

According to the database entry, your WiFi module is supported in all probes from all other users on Ubuntu, Mint, Zorin, etc.: https://linux-hardware.org/?id=pci:11ab-2b38-0002-045e

In your case the device has failed to initialize due to missed firmware. See dmesg:

[    9.901339] mwifiex_pcie 0000:01:00.0: Direct firmware load for mrvl/pcie8897_uapsta.bin failed with error -2
[    9.901359] mwifiex_pcie 0000:01:00.0: Failed to get firmware mrvl/pcie8897_uapsta.bin
[    9.901363] mwifiex_pcie 0000:01:00.0: info: _mwifiex_fw_dpc: unregister device
