I tried several distros.. Mint and Elementery OS (currently) are working great, except that it is overheating - temp above 80 or 90. I can't figure out what is causing the temparature to go up. Can you anybody help me please?

I don't have the solution yet, but here are my current observations:

1. Your cooling system looks effective
2. I've checked probes of the same model from other users (we have lot of them) - most of them are running at ~80C on CPU and ~75C on GPU, some at 100C on CPU and 85C on GPU. So your temp is in line with the average temp. In this probe with nvidia proprietary driver I see the lowest CPU temp (59C). You are currently using the free nouveau driver.

So try to install proprietary nvidia driver (304 or 340) or try to find any option in BIOS to disable discrete GPU. Also try to switch processor power profile to balanced/powersave (there should be settings for this in your DE, I have such settings in GNOME).
