Microsoft Surface Type Cover - Not Detected

ISSUE: Microsoft Surface Type Cover not being detected

DISTRO: UBUNTU 23.10

KERNAL: Latest Version From (https://github.com/linux-surface/kernel)


DEVICE: Microsoft Surface 3 (non pro)

DETAILS:

After successfully installing Ubuntu with the newest up-to-date Kernal on my Microsoft Surface 3, i'm having an issue with the stock "type cover" (keyboard & touchpad) not working.

After doing some research on this issue, I realized that the type cover is not being detected.

In both "dmesg" and "lsusb" the type cover is not listed...
