Ubuntu-MacBook USB built-in SD Card Reader not found after wake up from Suspend

Hello everyone,

Hoping someone who had this problem can share the solution or some lights to solve this problem.

My probes are https://linux-hardware.org/?computer=b07f86029bf6&latest

Problem description:

Fresh power up MacBook, Ubuntu detects Apple SD Card Reader correctly, everything fine.
Waking up after Suspend mode, the SD Card Reader is not detected anymore by the system.
If I just Restart... the system, still the SD Card Reader is not detected.
So, in order to get the SD Card Reader back, the MacBook needs to be shutdown completely.

Searching the web, it looks like this is a known issue since long time ago, there are several tickets there but actually not a clear solution to it.

Also there is a ticket in git hub investigating specifically this problem

In that ticket there is a few successful tests, however I don't know how to implement them, if anyone knows how to do it please share the details.

Or if anyone found a different solution, please let us know.
