Salutations,

Some 9 months ago i purchased a Dull Inspiron 15 3520 notebook (and i actually feel like insisting over this typo:  "Dull"), but that ain't what got me here anyway.  The thing is i started to think of comparing it with my older machine, 1st using HardInfo, then i discovered GeekBench last week and now HW-Probe of which the availability via AppImage/Snap Store/FlatHub promptly captured my attention.

I'll want to perform multiple "LIVE CD/USB" tests (via YUMi-exFAT, one more great tool) after i finally decided to install Windows 11 Pro on my ASUS RoG GL752VW.  Some people would call it a "gaming laptop" in reference to « Republic of Gamers », others just a "notebook", yet all i can tell for sure is that there's Intel's i915 HD Graphics 530 and nVidia's GM107M/GeForce GTX 960M GPU adapters inside.

So far i came to notice that Win11 does benefit from their related drivers/software indeed, but it's not too clear to me if Linux LMDE Faye managed to do the same.  In any case my present plan is to run HW-Probe under a vast variety of live Linux distributions trying to figure out which OS works best on the old portable and it wouldn't be as fun without HW-Probe around.

So please accept my humble expression of gratitude even if that appears to be late.  The data gathered in an instant is conveniently collected and saved, it's a shame Linux gurus don't mention it often enough when there's a chance!

Good day, have fun!!   8)
