Hey, guys, I am just a Linux newbie with an old laptop.
You see, I have a Lenovo G50-45 80e3 and I want to install some Linux on it.
Do you have any idea how to check which distro should I use?
I have to check if there are wi-fi drivers for it before I install it - I know that.
I don`t know where to check if there are available drivers for this or that distro.
The laptop is gonna be used only for Soundcloud, Opera browser and phone photos storage.

It`s easy for me because I have you, guys. :)
Just give me some tips. Thank you! Cheers!

As for which Linux distribution to choose, since your laptop is old and you only plan to use it for basic tasks, you may want to consider a lightweight distribution such as Xubuntu, Lubuntu or Linux Mint Xfce. These distributions are known for their speed and low system requirements, making them ideal for older hardware. You can also go to the wiki page to find out

Before installing Linux, it's also a good idea to create a backup of your important files and data, just in case something goes wrong during the installation process.
