Hi,

hw-probe fails to detect Epson Perfection V37/V370
on linux mint 20.3 cinnamon, where it *is* actually working. It works with Epson's own linux driver.
Probe URL: https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=ae9f25c32f

Yeah, both hwinfo and lsusb have failed to detect the driver. Probably we can get some info from `lpstat`. Could you please show output of `lpstat -t` and `lpstat -p <YOUR_PRINTER_ID> -l`?

not sure why you're asking about the printer though. The Epson Perfection V37/V370 is a flatbed scanner

Sorry, I mistakenly thought it has printer capabilities. Please post output of `scanimage -L` as well. Probably we can automatically change the status of the device to 'works' in the probe if it's listed in the output of scanimage.
